Abilene Ballet Theatre is dedicated to educating and entertaining audiences and promoting and developing a love for the art of ballet. ABT will present our Spring Showcase on Saturday, March 2nd at 8:00pm at the Paramount Theatre. It is absolutely a child and family friendly event.
The evening will include several dance pieces with exciting, original choreography that will help us delve into the beautiful, magical, and many faceted world of ballet. This year's performance features choreography by Amanda Farrow, Mercedes Valdez, Kortnie Coffey, Laurel Sanders, and ABT Dancers Kaleigh Gann and Laura Preston.
We're also thrilled to welcome back new feature performances by our special guest, Ballet Folklorico de Alvaro Muñoz!
Approximate running time: 1 1/2 hours. This event is perfectly appropriate for even the youngest ballet enthusiast. It will be an exciting and beautiful celebration of dance, and a performance that all of our young aspiring dancers should see! In addition to taking dance class, it is crucial to a dancer's education to see live performances. It comes at just the perfect time of year to inspire dancers of all ages and levels.
