Ballet & Jazz Camps

Cinderella's Enchanting Dance Camp
Ages 3 & 4

Whether your three or four year old has just expressed an interest in ballet or they have already made their debut, this camp is perfect! Join us for an enchanting four days of pre-ballet and creative movement with Ms. Lisa and her wonderful assistants! Also, dancers will enjoy art activities which help us to explore the beautiful world of ballet. This exciting experience will culminate in a visit from Cinderella herself on the final day!

Our dress code is relaxed in the summer. If your little ballerina or danseur already has dance clothes (girls-any color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and boys-white t-shirt, black tights, black ballet shoes) they can wear them. If your little one is simply trying out ballet for the first time, please do not feel obligated to purchase dance wear for this camp. A gymnastics leotard or t-shirt, shorts, and bare feet will suffice.

Meet The Instructors

Carrie Ruth Trumbo is a native Floridian, and received her formal training at the Orlando Ballet School. Upon graduating, she spent a season as a trainee with Charlotte Ballet studying with Patricia McBride and Mark Diamond. The following year she joined Tulsa Ballet’s second company, where she spent two seasons before being promoted to the main company in 2011. While with Tulsa Ballet, Carrie Ruth performed repertoire by Twyla Tharp, Ronald Hynd, George Balanchine, Ben Stevenson, Edwaard Liang, and John Cranko. She then joined Ballet Des Moines in its inaugural season, where she performed soloist roles in a variety of original works, most notably Within The Bodies and Angeli, both by Ma Cong. She also danced with American Contemporary Ballet in Los Angeles for their 2014 summer season. In 2016, Carrie Ruth returned to Oklahoma where she danced with Oklahoma City Ballet for five seasons. Carrie Ruth discovered her interest in choreography through OKCB’s Future Voices production, for which she was selected to create two original works, You See What You Look For and Whistling in The Dark. In 2021, she joined Pegasus Contemporary Ballet, a new company in Dallas, Texas where she served as Resident Choreographer and Artistic Associate for two seasons and was a critical part of the company's initial growth and success. She has created six new works for the company, including collaborations with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Verdigris Ensemble. Her work Cutting Room Floor was awarded a TACA pop up grant in 2022, and she premiered her first evening-length ballet, Amor Fati: An Evening of Greek Mythology, in June of 2023 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Also in the summer of 2023, Carrie Ruth was invited to create a new work at the prestigious National Choreographers Initiative in Irvine, CA, under the direction of Molly Lynch. She created an immersive ballet, All Rise, that utilizes the facility in which it is performed to its fullest, moving the audience through the space on a tour of sorts. Currently, Carrie Ruth is based in Dallas, TX where she is working on a new commission for Ballet North Texas.

Logan Blount, born and raised in Louisiana, began her training with Theatre School of Dance. While annually participating in ballet examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance, she continued her training outside of her home studio every summer by dancing in various summer intensives with the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, San Francisco, and Dallas, TX.
Logan danced with Ad Deum II Dance Company in Houston, TX. After that, she completed the Independent study program and Scholarship program at The Ailey School of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in NYC, where she focused on Horton, Graham and modern techniques. Currently Logan is dancing in Dallas, TX as a company member with Zion Dance Project and other various project based companies.
